I got up recently to a non-working furnace. I called ROMA who had serviced it in the past and they were able to come that day. Nelson showed me what the problem was and explained why it had become unsafe and was not repairable. I also had a 13 year old hot water tank that I had been thinking of upgrading to on demand. ROMA gave me a fair price on both and they were installed quickly and professionally. ROMA is always a pleasure to deal with and I would recommend them.
Contacted Roma Heating Ltd to diagnose & fix my Montigo gas fireplace based on positive reviews and length of time in industry. The initial appointment setup was smooth. The technicians were communicative on the day of, indicating they were running late (2hrs). They assessed the issue within an hour - gas valve needed replacing and the thermo-coupler, but they didn't have the parts and would need to rebook.Roma gave me a quote for $2100 for the work, which sounded high and I did some research. Discovering that the parts were approx. $300 (gas valve) and $60 (Thermocoupler). I was astonished that a company with their history and reputation would quote such an unreasonable estimate.All said, I hired another smaller company that only services gas fireplaces (Bravo Gas Fireplace Service). The service was set up quickly and the technician diagnosed the issue (only the gas valve needed replacing), he had the part and replaced it all within an hour. Total charge was $600. Not even HALF of what Roma was quoting. BEWARE.
Roma Heating exceeded my expectations after they replaced my 23 years old Laars II Hydronic Boiler and 11 years old Hot Water Tank with a Viessmann B1KE120 combi-boiler. Quality work, reasonable pricing (you get what you pay for), quick response and attention to detail. Technicians Shawn & Bob were unselfish in educating me on how the system works and working with me.Highly recommended.
We had an issue with our Veissmann in line water heater as a result of lack of maintenance. I called ROMA as they seemed well versed in my product from a little online research. The agent on the phone on Saturday morning understood my issue, asked for fault codes and said they could dispatch a tech. I received a text asking for photos of the unit. The tech arrived within an hour of my initial call. He was very pleasant and showed me what the issues were. He cleared what needed cleaning, replaced the faulty ignition, tested the system and was done within an hour. I am very pleased with the service, price seems fair. I would reccomend ROMA and will have them back to service our fireplace and heater again next year.
Horrible. My top of the line Lennox Signature furnace had been working all summer for the A/C. When the temperature dropped and I switched to heat, the furnace was kicking in but shutting off without heating the house. I contacted Roma Heating as they had been doing the maintenance on my machines but never repairs. When the technician arrived, he would not even entertain the idea of the issue being caused by the sensor. Instead, he was so focused on the furnace being 13 years old and therefore too old and should be replaced rather than repaired. He said he tried replacing more than one part (inducer, control board,...) but nothing solved the problem. By the time he left, the furnace no longer turned on (it wouldn't kick in for heat nor A/C). He destroyed it!
