Alex came and installed our humidifier and was very nice and respectful and knowledgeable about the product installed as well as the furnace that Legacy also had installed previously. He answered all my questions and when he left I felt very comfortable with being able to operate the system on my own. Thank you again Alex!
When shopping for a new HVAC system, Legacy offered a competitive price, and our salesperson, Eli, stood out for being attentive, professional, and never pushy. He listened carefully to our needs and recommended equipment accordingly. We were replacing a 23-year-old Trane system that had served us reliably. Our home is a bungalow, and we ran the fan 24/7 with automatic switching between heat and cooling—a setup ideal for Alberta’s fluctuating spring and fall weather. Our goal was to upgrade to a more energy-efficient and modern system.Unfortunately, the installation in May 2025 proved very challenging. The day after the install, we had no heat, and the next available service appointment was a week later. When a technician arrived, they replaced a faulty circuit board and explained that the new system could not support the circulate-then-heat function without a bypass switch—something that had not been disclosed during the sales process. Before the bypass switch could be installed, warmer weather arrived, and our AC struggled to cool the house. The technician installed the bypass switch, topped up refrigerant, and noted excessive condensation on the exterior AC lines, but did not provide a solution. When the system briefly worked in Auto mode, it shut down the next day when switching to heat. Multiple service visits revealed unnecessary jumper wires in the control board, ongoing refrigerant issues, and the fact that Auto mode was simply incompatible with this equipment. Ultimately, we were told we had to manually turn the breaker on and off to switch between heating and cooling.Update December 2025:After months of repeated calls, service requests, and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, I contacted the owner directly. Shortly after, management reached out and meaningful progress began. In November 2025, the entire system was replaced. Correct gauge wiring was installed, ducting that had previously been built and installed twice was replaced with properly sized ductwork, and inspections were passed. The system now works as expected, and I am very pleased with both the installation quality and overall performance. While the issues were ultimately resolved, I wish this level of care and attention had been present from the start. A customer experience should be consistent from the sales process through after-sales support. The staff we met were professional and helpful, but escalation was required to reach a proper resolution. In summary, this review reflects both the challenges we experienced and the fact that, with persistence, the company did stand behind its product in the end. I am thankful to have a properly functioning system and hope future customers receive a smoother experience from start to finish.
I had a furnace and hot water tank installed and I have to give a big thank you to Shane, Jordan, Annol and tejinder. These guys were so polite and friendly. They took the time to explain everything to me right down to using the thermostat. As well the clean up was spotless. They deserve 5 stars.I would highly recommend legacy!Thank you for a great experience guys!-Marilyn
Starting the winter season without a working furnace was a stressful situation, but the team at Legacy were able to come out quickly to get us a new furnace and heat in our home again. Calvin and Logan were my furnace installation team, for what turned out to be a bit of a trickier install due to the age and layout of our home, plus needing to work around and with our existing central a/c unit. They worked tirelessly for close to 11 hours to install our new furnace, maintaining their professionalism and friendly demeanor the entire time. And after a very long day, they still took their time to make sure they cleaned up any and all debris, vacuuming the basement and even the stairs, leaving our home clean and tidy. Working with Legacy was an easy stress-free process and I would recommend them to anyone...10/10
Gary and Michael did an amazing job. It’s an old building, super tight space, but somehow with some magic they were not only able to fit it all in, but it looks fantastic. They were punctual, professional and communicative with everything they did. I’m not just happy with the service given, I’m delighted.
