If I could give 10 stars, I would! David was amazing. My furnace quit this morning and he figured out it was the filter that hadn't been replaced for a while causing the issue. He waited a few extra minutes to get my filter installed (I had to express order one!!!) and gave me a few tips to help me not have this issue again. And as if that wasn't enough, my garbage bins apparently blew down the street in the wind so he rescued them and put them back in my garage for me!! Thank you David and Patriot Air for taking such good care of me
Matt was my Tec. He understood that money was tight, was not upset that I got a second opinion, and happily came back when I called him for the job. He worked hard to get the job done faster than he originally quoted, resulting in a cheaper bill. I was not home for the repair, however he cleaned up after himself and did not disturb the animals. Thank you Matt and Laneys
?I initially called Patriot Air because my furnace was short-cycling. The first tech spent three hours replacing pressure switches. I seriously thought we were good, it ran fine all day, but literally the next morning, the unit crapped out again.?The next day, on their second service call, a different technician found PVC shavings in the exhaust boot (left by a previous contractor) and cleaned the drain lines.?Later that same day, I had to call for a third time after the problem, which the previous tech had called "jiffing," reappeared after only a couple of hours. This technician seemed straight-up annoyed he had to come back. He couldn't diagnose the problem and ultimately blamed the failure on "water coming out of my vent pipes." He told me to leave the furnace's front cover off and send photos of the pipes to the office. He also brought up the pipes needing a bend/bow, estimating that checking and fixing this would cost $235, even though I was already $644.30 deep in repairs and labor with them. They told me they'd call back in the morning.?The following morning, after emailing videos the night before, I called in a fourth time. The team’s suggestion was to "remove the exhaust pipe and see if it runs properly." When I asked where to remove it, they instructed me to wait while they asked the owner. They finally called back and admitted that I, as a homeowner, absolutely shouldn't attempt this due to the hazard of carbon monoxide gas buildup. It was only after this whole safety fiasco that they provided quotes for multiple optional parts, including one for replacing the exhaust boot. Just so you know: They only quoted the exhaust boot (which Legacy Plumbing & Heating, my second opinion, suggested over the phone before any visit was the likely issue) after I mentioned what Legacy had told me.?After four calls and interactions across three days, I completely lost confidence in Patriot Air due to the contradictory diagnoses, the incorrect information, and their strategy of throwing new parts at the problem. I'd already spent $644.30 trying to fix this, and even the simple exhaust boot repair would have only cost about $235 if the heat exchanger hadn't been plugged due to drywall dust. The repair costs were adding up fast, hitting the financial tipping point for replacement, calculated using the "Rule of $5,000" (Repair Cost x Unit Age >= $5,000). This simple rule helps homeowners decide if replacement is financially smarter than constant, expensive repairs. Given the four failed attempts and the dangerous, unqualified advice, Patriot Air definitively failed to deliver on the "Exceptional... Furnace Repair Service" they advertise on their site.
Excellent service all around. Tom assessed our home and made high quality recommendations at a reasonable price. He followed up to ensure all our questions were answered before installation. He and his crew were efficient and took extra care with installation, clean up, and educating us on our new system. Highly recommend!
Patriot Air provided top notch service from beginning to the end. David and Marley were both extremely professional and courteous. They both worked non stop and got our AC and furnace installed and running by the end of the day. If we could give 10 stars we would. Thank you also to Jenny and Tom for your patience and answering all our questions. We will definitely go with Patriot Air for all our future heating and cooling needs. Thank you to everyone at Patriot Air for all your hard work.
