I had a mostly good experience with Jolicoeur, having a heat pump installed.Their quote was competitive, and while they asked for photos of the outside and the inside of the residence, I was kind of surprised that they didn't schedule a pre-installation visit - I was hoping to get more guidance around how many heat pump heads I needed and where they would be best positioned. During installation, they were great, bringing a full team of 4 out to complete the job in under 6 hours - they were all friendly, professional, and hard working. Unfortunately, during installation, one of their crew members drilled a screw into a line that was carrying freon, meaning that the new heat pump stopped producing heat 1 hour after they left. To their credit, they booked a follow up appointment and fixed the issue the next week, working through a snowstorm to boot, but it was a concerning and unfortunate development.All in all, a pretty good experience, even with the installation snafu.

My recent experience with Refrigeration Jolicoeur's installation of a new heat pump system was very pleasant, professional, and without any issues. What struck me most was how nice it was to deal with a family organization and the level of friendliness and helpfulness that I received. For years, I was dealing with Outaouais' largest HVAC company but now realize that bigger is definitely not better. To deal with the Jolicoeur family (estimator, office administrator, 2 installers) was beyond my expectations to this point and I have already recommended them to other people. I feel quite confident that they will be there if I should need servicing in the future.
Best service, best price and free 10 year warranty, what else can you ask for?After meeting the owner, the grandson of the original founder, I was sold on buying my heat pump. He was so easy going, informative and not at all pushy to make a sale. I had time to think it through and compare other prices and what I selected was not only a -30 C unit, it was significantly cheaper by nearly 2000$.The installers showed up on time, cheerful and respectful. They got to work fast and it did take a most of the day but it is a big job, they did not rush it. Not only was the service at every level excellent, the three wonderful installers were not only polite, respectful and bilingual, they left my home after cleaning up where the units were installed. I was able to pay by card as they had a card reader, making this so much easier on me, they walked me through the Logisvert next steps.One other note which may not resonate with all but in case it does: a few days after signing the contract, my neighbour was cycling and came to a stop at the same time as a Jolicoeur driver. Being cautious, my neighbour did not proceed to cross until the driver smiled, and waved him through to go first. This fit perfectly with my impression of the company, they really do respect their company name and behave accordingly.
