Excellent company that has been in business for decades in Hawai'i. They are very familiar with all AC systems used in Hawaii and the management team stands by their work. Highly recommend for condos in Waikiki with AC units that often get moldy and need to get cleaned up. Also had a thermostat and UV light installed by them. Prices are very reasonable by Hawai'i standards.
PurAir Hawai’i installed and then has regularly maintained our 3 A/C units for a number of years. Des and the office staff are great and the techs top notch. 5 stars all the way. You won’t be disappointed!
Purair Hawaii contracted to remove my old AC and install a new one. They arrived exactly at the hour agreed upon, prepped my apartment very carefully and worked for 8 hours in 82 degree heat to remove/install the AC. They did fastidious work in that heat, leaving the apartment spotless and with a beautifully operational AC. I would recommend them highly to anyone needing this kind of work.
Just my personal opinion - terrible customer service ?? you throw the dice ?? and see what you receive from the business as there are better choices ??I contacted the company on a Friday morning, informed everyone (staff) in a meeting and they will contact after their meeting concludes. No contact so I contacted them after 3pm. Told not a meeting, a training day, if they don't contact me by today by 5pm they will contact me on Monday. Monday, comes then expires, no contact. Tuesday, the company contacts me. Begins to discuss my A/C problem, I don't have an A/C issue. I have a dryer vent issue. Suddenly, quotes me around $280+ and I as kupuna am required to move the entire machine on my own before work is started. Okay, no thank you. I will find a company that does true customer service and doesn't make kupuna get involved as that's what I am paying your younger staff for.
Horrible customer service, they don't value your time. My ac broke in my unit late May and I let my property manager (pm) know in June. Two weeks (June 15) passed and I asked my pm for an update. She told me I should have been contacted by Purair because she put in a work order on June 6. She said she'll follow up. Purair calls the next morning and apologized for the late response (misplaced paper work or something) and scheduled a visit that afternoon...cool.They arrived and told be they couldn't fix it because they didn't have a specific part on hand (understandable) and they'll be back the next day around the same time. Stayed home the next day waiting,. They didn't show. I assumed maybe they didn't have the part at home base also. At least give me a call so I don't wate a day waiting.Fast forward to June 27 and I get a call from them basically saying paperwork was misplaced.... AGAIN....thus the delay and asked when will be the best time to come over. Made a schedule for NEXT day around noon. Today I waited until 330pm. I gave them a call and asked if they were still coming. They tell me I'm scheduled for tomorrow. I'm POSITIVE I was scheduled for today. I'll be surprised if they do show tomorrow, maybe paperwork again. It's been 22 days since my pm first contacted them.UPDATE: They did come today and everything is working fine. I can't comment on the price because my property manager takes care of that. My original review was one star but I changed it to three stars, I would have given two and a half if I could. They did fix my ac eventually and the person on the phone and the repair person was friendly. I just didn't appreciate wasting 2 days waiting for them for them to not even show. Now that I had some time to mull things over, I felt maybe one star is too harsh.
