Oh no! We're in Florida and our furnace decided to die during the 14" snowstorm and frigid temperatures. Based on recommendations from our wonderful neighbor and son-in-law, we decided to go with Turk Heating and Cooling. Our neighbor had them install a new furnace in late 2025 and raved about their attention to detail, how professional of a company they were throughout his project and how he loved the performance of his new furnace. When we contacted Turk Heating & Cooling, we were pretty much in a panic because of the frigid temps which resulted in our home dropping to near 40 degrees. They responded immediately by taking household measurements, determining proper sizing and an informative quote. Mark Turk, Sr. addressed all our questions personally. They also provided industrial spaces heaters the same day to prevent water line damage that could have occurred from the forecasted below zero temperatures. The day following initial contact, they installed our new furnace in just a few short hours. Our son-in-law coordinated their efforts and was extremely complimentary of their professionalism and work ethic. We were obviously appreciative of their quick response and answering all our questions via multiple phone calls from Florida. I called for a check on my furnace and Turk came out the next day. The tech they sent was named Dustin, and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful! He did a check on my furnace, found the issue pretty quickly, took care of it, answered all of the questions I had, and gave some very helpful advice. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing HVAC help.
Our story starts like many do, with our heat going out in the middle of winter, on a Saturday no less. We had a couple of space heaters, but the house was still cold, and my wife understandably wanted heat sooner rather than later. I was hesitant about making an emergency call, but I decided to try anyway.Mark, the owner of Turk Heating & Cooling, answered the phone immediately and told me he could come out the same day. He arrived that afternoon and was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly. He took the time to explain how furnaces work, what was wrong with ours, and what our options were. You can tell right away that Mark has a real passion for his work and genuinely cares about his customers, something that’s becoming harder to find these days.Mark provided a clear quote and told me he wouldn’t follow up unless we wanted to move forward. He actually encouraged me to get other quotes and even suggested that I not show his quote to other companies, just to see what they recommended. I did exactly that. I contacted a large HVAC company that had been recommended to me, and just as Mark predicted, they did no Manual J load calculation and simply recommended replacing our furnace with the same oversized 100k BTU unit we already had. When I pushed for calculations, they came back with 80k BTUs — exactly what Mark had said from the beginning. On top of that, their pricing was nearly double.At that point, I canceled my remaining quotes and went with Mark. While the other company offered to match pricing and even add incentives, I valued Mark’s transparency, honesty, and level of care far more.The installation itself went smoothly. We decided to replace our AC at the same time, and the crew was professional, efficient, and had everything completed in about six hours. Mark installed a high-quality Trane system, which has been a fantastic upgrade over our old unit. He clearly stands behind the equipment he installs and takes pride in doing things the right way.The bottom line is this: if you’re looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and genuinely customer-focused HVAC company, I can’t recommend Mark Turk and Turk Heating & Cooling highly enough.
My 20 year old heat pump finally gave in. At first, i called a big company and they quoted me a ridiculous price. At the suggestion of others, I called Turk Heating and Cooling. Their rep came to my house, very low key, polite, and answered every question I had. there price was SIGNIFICANTLY better than the other large company that I had a quote from. The installers came out and laid plastic down in all areas that they walked on and worked around. They were professional and very courteous, really couldn’t even tell they were here. Spoke with I believe Mark before the install, very polite and down to earth. Owner stopped by at the end of the day, he was polite as well. They left the area they were working in cleaner than it was before they arrived. Thankful that a family member and a friend recommended them.
