Very efficient and professional crew. Replaced our furnace in one day and had us up and running again quickly. This is a long-time family run local business that is very responsive and does a great job. They have serviced our old furnace for over 10 years prior to this. Definitely recommend!
This review is coming in a little late as Elliot fixed and cleaned our gas fireplace a couple months ago but as I was enjoying the fireplace this morning I remembered that I hadn’t written a review! What a fantastic job he did. Professional, thorough and so friendly. Not only does our fireplace work better, it looks WAY BETTER. Just wish we had a colder winter to enjoy it. Thank you Elliot!
We recently had a water tank and air conditioner replaced and the both the new product and the support from ComfortTech was exceptional. Max, Dawson and Daniel were very responsive during the installation and adjusted seamlessly when it was found that the water tank had an internal crack that was not noticeable until it had been installed. We have been using ComfortTech for at least 5 years and always go to them for our heating and air conditioning needs. They are not necessarily the cheapest option available but they are value for money when it comes to product quality and level of service.
Contracting for any service that I've not previously required always makes me very apprehensive. What caused me to select Comfort Tech was their advertised "flat rate quote in advance".My request for service was in regard to a 4 year old propane fireplace insert that was having a couple of different intermittent issues.Mike and Daniel diagnosed the issues quickly, and then performed a full maintenance service - even though that had not been requested when booking the appointment, they agreed to do it on the spot at my request. The price was exactly as quoted for both the diagnostic and maintenance service. I could not be more pleased by the outcome - and will definitely use Comfort Tech again as needed.
We moved into our condo last summer so we wanted to have the fireplace checked to confirm it was operating normally and safely. Our fireplace was done by two gentleman. It appeared to be a lead and a trainee that came to do the service. I asked them if there were bulbs in the fireplace? They looked for them during the service and found them. Because they found them and because all four needed replacing, I asked them to not put it back together so I could pickup bulbs and install them. Then, I had to leave the condo momentarily, at which time guys left. And they left the unit in a bit of a mess. No courtesy to vacuum out the remaining glass media (even though they had a vacuum there). No courtesy to offer re-assembly instruction tips (which I kinda needed). No courtesy to ask my wife who was there, if there was anything else that we needed. I was not impressed.Judging by their body language, the lead gentleman appeared to be a "let's do as little as possible and get out of here" kind of guy. The trainee was different. He seemed really great but didn't have the initiative to speak up. His communication was by eye contact and gestures. But great to have there.I received a report on the receipt but not very detailed. I wanted to know exactly what was done and what was checked because I am not a fireplace expert. Was it safe to operate, was my main question. I was shocked when they left so soon.I managed to replace the bulbs and re-assemble the unit. It is running well now. I was just not impressed with THE WAY the service was done and the poor report provided following. To be excellent means to go the extra mile. Which, in this case would have been to vacuum out the excess media and offer re-assembly instruction tips. That would be an extra 5-10 minutes in this case. Keep in mind that they did not have re-assemble the fireplace and replace the media, so they were saving time there. This experience may not be a reflection on Comfort Tech as a company overall, however it reflected poorly for the lead technician that came to our condo on that day and was disappointing for me as a customer.
