Our furnace died after 25 years of reliable service.I contacted Honestars and posted my request to have the furnace replaced.Our existing furnace was a Carrier - 100K BTUI received several interest within hours from contractors. At the samtime, researched the best furnaces in Canada. Carrier overall was always at the top. This led me to searched for Carrier dealers nearby. EvamCanada Inc popped up. The reviews were very good. I then made an online request. The following morning I reviewed all my responses and booked appointments.Ed was the first contractor to respond. He was very professional. He explained all the Carrier models andrecommended the model that best meet our needs. Our hot water tank was a rental and wanted it out. He recommended a replacement. Explained the returned process and offered to deliver it the rental company.Several other contractors came and offered different products. Some were not competitive and were ruled out. We finally settled on three contractors but selected Edam because of our experience with Carrier.Ed and his contractors showed up on the schedule. They worked on the hot water tank and furnace and finished by the end of the day. We decided to replace the AC as well.We are very happy with the work done. ED has always demonstrated excellent professionalism and updated us regularly during the installation.We do not hesitate to recommend him to be your contractor of choice for your HVAC system.
Ed installed our Pro Ecobee thermostat and even used adapter wires to ensure it communicated perfectly with our furnace. He’s a mechanical engineer who truly knows his stuff, and it shows in the quality of his work. On top of that, he was super nice and friendly, making the whole experience a pleasure. I did my homework and contacted the factory authorized Carrier contractors , listed on Carrier website around GTA. But when I extended my search, I found out Evam Canada Inc.2. Ed came the very evening to see the house. He is an Engineer, a technical genius and superb attention to detail. Best part is he is that at the job site catching faults (if any) during install to make sure you get 100% fit the 1st time. Most companies SALES team will sell you system and move on. Ed stood right there for the entire installation and accommodated my requests as much as possible. He is easy to talk, no nonsense, to the point conversation.3. I got the Heatpump, Furnace, evap coil, new wirings, Ecobee thermostat and surge protectors for hvac installed & Ed helped with getting the rebates done. He went a step up and replaced portions of the intake and supply ducts around the furnace.They will stand by you. Classic work! Superb precision! Kudos
