Can I just say how *unimpressed* I am with my experience with the Hill & Co. group?!

I had a pair of guys come out & take a half-assed look around, then the older, chubbier journeyman sent the younger, skinnier apprentice under the house to poke around at the plumbing (he forgot his flashlight & had to be handed one).
They tried to convince me that I needed to upsize my whole gas line, "for code."
They even had me convinced & up-sold, until I asked the next 2 plumbers about it...
They were *absolutely* trying to take advantage of someone who didn't know better.

Anyway, they quoted me $9,2k for a simple Tankless Water Heater swap.

I though that was too much, so I called around. An outfit called Yarbrough & Sons sent a technician named Cole Hobson to come out & do an estimate for a Tankless Hot Water Heater swap for me, and not only did he do a *thorough* bathroom, utility closet & crawl-space inspection, he came out of the crawl space (looking like the undead ?????), went looking for a shovel, & then went *back* underneath the house to trench out access to allow him to get where he needed to go, to see what he needed to see! I should add that Cole & I are both bigger guys (like the Hill&Co Journeyman), & I would not have wanted to have to do what he just did. And he did it enthusiastically & professionally, all for just a free estimate! Very impressive!

Unfortunately, a guy from a "2 guys in a truck" outfit came in right behind them & immediately underbid their quote.

But I was so impressed by Cole, that I called Yarbrough & Sons, & I asked if they could match/beat the other offer?
And, guess what, they did!

So, we were pleased to get to book the project with them & are having it installed next Monday (So long as I can get my Electrician to come upgrade the power outlet box over the weekend ??).

For the record, they beat out Hill & Co.'s (who was Angie.com's 1st recommendation) initial quoted price by >45%, coming in at just

We needed emergency services because our downstairs heat stopped working during the January storm. They were able to send Paxton quickly who was very knowledgeable and very much willing to take the time to explain how the system worked. He was able to get us up and running within an hour.
I highly recommend these guys and will definitely use them again

We have been shopping to replace our HVAC system for six months. By far the most professional quote process came from Jeff Holloway. He took the time to inspect each service and return vents to calculate a balance load (turns out we needed an additional 12"12" return vent). Then two days later technicians Ryan & Kasem arrived to install new system. They were polite, hard working, quite efficient, and very respectful of our property. Everyone at Hill&Co were willing to fully answer and explain any questions. Also. the financing terms were quite attractive. We are more than pleased. Eric, the manager of the installation crew, came and preformed a quality assurance inspection of all facets of the work. Have never had this level of service before and are quite happy, especially for such an expensive purchase.

Two months ago we had one of our two AC units replaced by another well-known AC company in the local metro area. That experience from start to finish was not good on many levels. I would not recommend that company to anyone.

So when our second AC unit decided to break last week we decided to call Hill & Company this time. I can positively say that the full experience from Paxton coming out to find the issue, to Jeff coming out later that same day to discuss options if we decided to purchase a new unit instead of a repair, to the next day having Zeus and his team out to do the new AC install - every single interaction was professional, their employees were very knowledgeable and personable, our property was treated with respect, they showed up on time and were done exactly when they said they would be. They cleaned up after themselves. The options of which unit to buy were presented to us in an easy-to-understand way and we felt we really got a lot of value for our money. Overall, a very good experience with everyone at Hill & Company. I would definitely recommend them to my family, friends and neighbors. Thank you Hill & Company!!!

AC compressor went out. The outside unit was 23 years old, so we decided that we just needed to buy a completely new outside unit. The inside garage closet furnace heating unit was in perfect condition, so there wasn't a need to replace it, plus we didn't have the money to replace both.

Contacted multiple heat and air companies, several came out to give me a price on a new outside unit and a second price just in case the evaporator under the furnace needed to be replaced.

One company in particular, actually gave me a set price to replace both the outside unit and the evaporator under the furnace. That company thought it would be best.

They said the actual price shown was the actual price we would pay. We decided to go with them after they waited on us for 3 weeks while we gathered the amount of money WE ALL agreed upon!

On the day we were making the appointment for them to come out to install the new outside unit/evaporator coil (if it needed it)...The price changed, it had magically jumped up a $1,000!
(Interstate Heat & Air??)

I immediately went looking online again.

??????????????????????????
I saw Hill & Company (thinking Drabek & Hill at first.???????) so I messaged them. Didn't think about it until after I had already hit send. I'm glad that my brain messed up like that though, because it was a SMART MESS UP!

Nick came out to diagnose. Checked everything out, even crawled up our broken later, into the poorly ventalated (I'll fix that later) heat filled attic to check our installation/vent ducts. He gave me 2 prices after he had finished up.

One for just the outside unit replacement and a second price just in case they needed to replace the evaporator. I liked the pricing, it was the lowest we had received, so I said; Let's do it!

Dalton & Zario came out to replace the outside unit. Everything was going good, they were quick and informative while working. They finished up with the outside unit, unfortunately the PXV valve was freezing up on the old evaporator (which means it's bad) so they had to go ahead and replace the evaporator by pulling out the entire furnace.

They got it out, replaced it and put everything back in.

Sorry again guys that the builders of this house made it so hard for ya'll to get it in/out of the closet.
(Way before we came here!??)

They vacuumed out any air/moisture from the system, charged the A/C up, cleaned everything up and within 30 minutes after turning it on, we could feel the cold, that we haven't felt for some time now.

Feels great to be back in it. I know that besides me, that the Wife, Dublin, Butterscotch, Garfield, Katniss and my cousin are all glad to have it back!????????

Great job boys! And thanks again to you Nick for dropping the price just a little bit more after the job was already finished!

We really appreciated that!
