David and Vaibhav completed their workload of removing the old furnace and installing the new one in as efficient and timely a manner as possible. They were polite and professional. David even managed to explain the new thermostat functions to me, no small feat. He demonstrated patience and tolerance. I am definitely recommending JD Swallow.
Was very pleased with service time, a short wait, and quality of the service. James thoroughly cleaned the fireplace and sprinkled some "love" on it for a spectacular look when lit . He also provided an up-to-date review of the mechanics of a gas fireplace and when and what to expect in the future. Great for future budgeting. I have been a Swallow client for over 40 years and have never been disappointed.
Excellent service.We recently had a heat pump + new furnace installed.Bastiaan was extremely knowledgeable and answered our questions thoroughly and thoughtfully.The installers were professional, prompt and completed all of the work in a single day.Given the recent cold snap we did not have the opportunity to use the heat pump, however when the temperature warmed up and we tried to use it, it did not start.The technician that arrived, Mark, was friendly and professional and diagnosed the issue quickly. We were not charged for this visit as we had the heat pump installed less than three weeks prior and had yet to use it.We will absolutely be considering JD Swallow for our future HVAC and plumbing needs. Well done!
We've been on a maintenance contract with JD Swallow for a few years now as our furnace was quite old when we moved in and we wanted to make sure we were safe. I bumped up our annual inspection this year and last Friday at 9:30 am the inspector (Kevin) told us we had to 'condemn' the furnace because, for a couple of reasons, it had become unsafe for us to operate. Obviously this was a massive concern given the temperatures... Within an hour, they had a sales rep (Hayden) over to discuss options for a new furnace. He laid out our options clearly and we made a choice on what we wanted without any pressure. in the meantime he brought in some of his own space heaters for us to use... but turns out we didn't even need them because within an hour from our decision, they had a team of 3 guys (Joe, David, Chris) at our place taking out the old furnace and installing the new one. It was flat-out amazing service and to my complete surprise, they had the new unit installed and running by 4:30 pm. They had to upgrade a number of connections and also fixed a few other random bits and pieces that needed securing, etc. The installation guys were personable, professional, and even seemed to have fun working together, which is always a bonus. All-in-all it was a 10/10 experience and they kept us from having to struggle through a winter weekend in Ottawa without a furnace. Thanks to everyone on the team for getting it done - it's safe to say we'll be loyal customers for years to come. Cheers boys!
