We couldn’t be more pleased with the outstanding work installing our downstairs HVAC unit. This is actually the second time (Austin&Cam)he has installed a unit for us — he previously installed our upstairs system (Austin&Zach)— and once again, he exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, he was professional, punctual, and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything clearly, made sure the work area was clean, and completed the installation efficiently without cutting any corners. It’s clear he takes great pride in his craftsmanship.Having him return for our downstairs unit was an easy decision after the excellent experience we had the first time. Both systems are running perfectly, and we feel confident knowing the job was done right. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality HVAC installation and honest, dependable service. Five stars all the way!

Felipe from Thermo Direct ame out to provide a complimentary service on our air conditioning unit, and we were extremely impressed. He was professional, and very knowledgeable. From the moment he arrived, he was courteous. He thoroughly inspected our unit, made sure everything was running efficiently before he left. What stood out most was how prompt he was in advising about a water leak under our home and advising that he could contact their plumber to come out and do the job.We truly appreciate the excellent service and would highly recommend Thermo Direct to anyone needing HVAC services.
Felipe was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly diagnose my HVAC system. He provided detailed notes and clear pictures, which made it easy to understand exactly what was going on. He explained everything in a way that was straightforward and honest, and I truly felt confident in the work being done. His professionalism and attention to detail really set him apart. I highly recommend him at to anyone needing reliable and high-quality HVAC service.
Thermo Direct replaced a 30 year old 2 ton gas furnace and AC unit with a new 18 SEER Goodman mini split ducted heat pump, designed by Daikin. This is no mini - significantly larger than expected. And the Daikin technology seems superior. Eddie, the Thermo Direct rep who designed the system sold me by saying he has the same unit at his house. It is NOT CHEAP, and he offered 2 estimates 25% lower, but this unit is the cat's meow. I financed it through Thermo Direct.Israel and his partner installed it in one day and it passed Cary inspection with flying colors.I have seen thousands of mini splits installed in Asia and Africa, but they are rare in the US. This ducted unit included an air handler that was larger than the old one, so it had to be installed horizontally instead of vertically. Thermo Direct made two large air boxes to attach it to the existing duct work. Most of the mini splits outdoor units I have seen were attached to the wall, not sitting on the ground. But all the mounting brackets online are made from angle iron and bolted together, usually powder coated. That is not great since it will eventually rust and is not nice to look at. Instead, Israel agreed that I could weld together my own stainless steel mounting bracket. During the first 3 hours, when they were removing the old hardware and setting up the inside unit, I welded a new stainless steel bracket from 1.25in and 2in round tube and 2 in square tube. Through bolted it to the wall with 1/2in galvanized rods, washers, and lock washers. Nothing touches the ground. This unit qualifies for federal tax credit and Duke rebate. It is on the first floor. I set the temperature to 69 and it provides base heat, which rises to the second and third floors. These floors have a 4 ton high efficiency gas furnace and AC with 2 zones, set to 68 degrees. They rarely come on during the day now unless it is really cold. The thermostat is new and modern, but it does not tell me the outside temperature, which does show on one of my Trane thermostats. The app to remotely control the unit is FREE, while Trane charges.Overall very pleased.
